UPSHOT League Names AirPLAi Sports Official Data and AI Partner to Power League Data, Video and AI Media Experiences

Partnership establishes the technology foundation connecting game data, video intelligence, and AI-assisted media workflows across the league.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. and SEATTLE, Wash., July 24, 2026: UPSHOT League and AirPLAi Sports today announced a partnership naming AirPLAi Sports the league's Official Data and AI Partner. As UPSHOT's technical partner, AirPLAi Sports will provide the connected platform bringing together game data, video intelligence and AI-assisted media workflows as UPSHOT continues to build a modern professional women's basketball league.

AirPLAi Sports already powers UPSHOT's public statistics experience, including standings, schedules, scores, league leaders, box scores, team and game pages, player profiles, transactions and interactive shot charts linked directly to game video. These capabilities represent the first phase of a broader partnership that will continue to expand across league data, video and AI-powered media experiences.

Rather than deploying artificial intelligence as a standalone feature, UPSHOT is integrating AI into its complete technology infrastructure. By connecting statistics, analytics, video, and media workflows through a unified platform, the league is creating a scalable ecosystem designed to improve fan engagement, storytelling and operational efficiency as it grows.

Partnership focus

• Scalable league technology: AirPLAi Sports will connect game data, video intelligence and league media workflows through a unified platform designed to support future growth and expansion.

Some capabilities are already available to fans today, and additional video discovery features and AI-assisted media experiences will continue to be unveiled throughout the 2026 season. As Official Data and AI Partner, AirPLAi Sports will also receive "Powered by AirPLAi" attribution across applicable UPSHOT statistics pages and digital experiences.
